Blogger just unleashed their new beta platform the other day.

So far, there's been some good comments about it, and some that aren't so flattering... It's beta software, and I think people are a little quick to give it some bad marks because it may not have all the features they want.

I had worked on a script to produce categories for hosted Blogger blogs at moshare.com. But since there were rumors that Blogger was going to come up with their own categories in the "near future" I didn't think it would be a priority to keep working on it...

They do have something that resembles categories in the form of tags/labels. But it's not quite what I'd expected for categories on Blogger.

We'll have to wait to see how their new platform evolves through the beta phase...
